Kyra Minturn
KyraMinturn, born August 19, 1965 is an American actor. Her leading role on TNT's crime drama The Closer as Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson is her most well-known. Sedgwick earned a Golden Globe Award in 2007 for her portrayal of Johnson and an Emmy Award 2010 for her portrayal. After the end of the seventh season the show was canceled on the 13th of August 2012. Sedgwick is also famous for her role in the show as Madeline Wuntch, on the sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Sedgwick received a Golden Globe nomination for her performance as Madeline Wuntch in Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's film roles include Oliver Stone's Born in July (1989) and Cameron Crowe's Individuals (1992) The Heart and Souls (1993), Phenomenon (1996) and What's cooking (2000) and Secondhand Lions (2003). The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2011) are in addition to her numerous. Sedgwick was the daughter of Patricia Rosenwald, Speech and Family Therapist, as well as Henry Dwight Sedgwick IV who was a venture capitalist. Her birthplace was in New York City. Her mother was Jewish and her father was Episcopalian. Sedgwick was of English origins. Sedgwick declares that she is Jewish and says she goes to Passover seders.
